"Captain Commander! Let me down! This is very unprofessional behavior!"
She did as he had expected, kicking and beating on him as best she could, but it seemed as though he wasn't about to let her go. She wasn't entirely correct in her assumption, however. He did let her go, but not in the way that she had hoped. He threw her into the water, clothes and all, which would inevitably leave her soaked.
She landed on the shallow part of the water, her robes stained by the mud on which she had fallen. Though, she sat up, and was still able to keep her head out of the water. It was likely unintentional that he had thrown her in at such a shallow spot, especially considering that only a couple meters away where he dived in, it was much deeper.
"Ugh! You ruined my robes!"

“Then you can wear mine, Kazai-chan.”
He said captivatingly as he swam over towards her, dragging his body onto the shallow end as he sat next to her. Apparently she was exasperated by his decision, and by her blasphemous use of the term unprofessional, he could only assume she found his acts quite unripe Reaching his hand up, h brushed away a strand of loose hair that danced across her eyes, allowing the full splendor of her tantalizing blue eyes to shine vividly in the breaks of light that seeped through the cracks within the trees.
“Therer; your eyes are two beautiful to be hiding behind locks of hair.”
He exclaimed, bringing his hand back towards his side as he folded his legs over, resting next to Kazai in the shallow end of the lake. Both drenched, Isao felt the need to smile at the thought of the two at the lake in such conditions, while on an important mission. He was quite the Commander to say the least.

"U-um... Thanks."
Momentarily, she'd crack a smile after hearing his comment. Eye contact was made with her commander, and her cheeks would blush again. Hearing such a comment, from such an attractive guy would be enough to make any girl forget that she was mad at him... well, she didn't quite forget, but rather she had forgiven him already. Nonetheless, she quickly forced herself to frown again. She didn't want him to know she had forgiven him. Not after throwing her in the water like that.
"But I'm still mad," she croaked stubbornly.

He immediately caught the scent of her blush and smiled at the thought. So he was indeed growing on her, and in the good way. Not like the parasite virus type of wa--- BACK TO REAILTY. Isao placed one arm around her shoulder, gently pulling himself closer as he peered into the lake, eyes reflecting nothingness of the surface as he stood. Looking back at her, he smiled; kissing her cheek and soon enough, stood up, and jumped back into the water. So she was mad, huh? Already wet, he assumed is next plan would work absolutely.
“Guess if you’re mad, you’ll have to catch me, and seek retribution, huh?”
This was all in his tactical plan to make her smile, and help lift some of her burdens from her shoulder, and place it on his own.

Follow him into the deeper water? That was completely ridiculous. There was no chance in catching him, especially with all the robes she was wearing. But it was much too late to be thinking about things like that. She was already swimming as quickly as she could after that, though it was completely illogical for her to do so.
"Argh! Come back here! I'm going to get you!" She screamed, though she had no idea what she would actually do once she caught up to him. She had no plans whatsoever, but she was still doing her best to get him.

Once in the center of the lake, where the ground was settled deepest in the water at the bottom, Isao stopped. The sound of splashing waves echoed as he smiled, immediately knowing what had happened. Therefore, she decided to come in after all, and with the realization of that, he laughed. His plan worked perfectly. Moreover, before long, he submerged himself underwater. Eyes peering out, he could indistinctly depict his surroundings with lucidity. However good enough to see the significant features. Now would she follow him under? He thought on this for a moment as he stood in place. retaining an ample supply of air as he waited.

Kazai stopped in her tracks seeing that he had gone underwater. She definitely wasn't about to follow him down there and submerge her head. She was already wet enough. No need to get wetter. So instead, she remained where she was and looked down, waiting for him to resurface. She sighed before swimming back to the edge of the lake.

Before Kazai could make it back to the edge, or out of her immediate area for that matter, the lake’s surface in front of her began to undulate. Seconds following, strands of crimson red emerged, followed by a drenched face as Isao re-surfaced directly in front of her, invading her personal space. Slight breathing, he smiled as his tantalizing purple eyes peered directly into Kazai’s ocean blue, and with a smile he moved closer, arms motioning beneath the water. Now, with only inches separating their faces from connecting, he would grin, eyes closed for the moment as he spoke.
“You’re no fun, Kazai-chan.”

Before Kazai was able to get very far, Isao came up right in front of her. She had somewhat expected this, but she definitely wasn't going to chase him underwater. Instead, she treaded water right where she was, using breastroke kicks as well as her arms to keep her head above the water.
"Maybe I'm not, but I'm just trying to do my job," she answered him. "I didn't become captain of my division just by being cute."

Isao could only smile at her response, and got the feeling she was somewhat tentative and offended. He didn’t mean to express pessimism, just making a teasing comment. Refraining from such remarks, he’d do now. However, what she said next disenchanted him. She essentially assumed he was calling her substandard, and that all she had to do was be pretty? This was something he didn’t enjoy hearing from someone of her standards. Sure, she was indeed beautiful, but that was only one of her many qualities. He’d laugh slightly and swim slightly closer, now directly in her space, peering into her eyes once more.
“Is that what you think? That I believe you only made Captain status due to your looks?”

Kazai chuckled at his response. She knew that she didn't get her position just from being cute. That wasn't the reference she was trying to make. Isao was definitely a bit odd, and he wasn't the quickest in catching what she was implying. Though, at the same time, she held back her words and watched them carefully as she didn't want to hurt his feelings at all.
"I don't think that at all, Chief. You, on the other hand... While being very gorgeous and ruggedly handsome, don't seem to act with the maturity I would expect from a Soutaichou."

Isao could only smile at what she said. Her flattering remark brightened his day, evident by the seemingly infallible glow that blushed across his face; magnified by the escapes of light that beamed down from the trees above. His smile turned into laughter as she questioned his mellowness, seemingly comparing him to those previously who held his current position as Sōtaichō. In truth, she was indeed correct that he didn’t act like the typical or conventional Commander when compared to his predecessors. However when speaking on his maturity, should take in all aspects of the term, rather than commenting on what was obviously use humility and elation.
“So, Lady Kazai. What do you feel I act like?”
He inquired with his charming tone.

"It's not about how you act, it's about how you don't act," Kazai answered him. He didn't meet the standards which she would have put forth for a Captain Commander. Aside from that, she had no problems with the way he acted. If he were any normal person, she wouldn't have a second thought about him. He wasn't terribly immature as a normal person, but for a captain commander, he was very immature.
"You're charming and kind, I'll give you that much... but as Captain Commander, you're not as I would expect. I'd expect you to be much more strict and stern. That's all," she replied to his question.

“Strict and stern, I see.”
He said, with an inquisitive trait lingering in his charming enunciation as he pondered on what Kazai had to say. So, his level of professionalism weakened her scrutiny of him as Captain Commander, huh? Or so her words so elegantly portrayed as she spoke. How to answer, how to answer was his question. Of course he had one, just waited for the right moment to articulate it in the open. He continued to west in place, floating directly in front of Kazai as he stopped staring at the sky, and looked back into her eyes and smiled captivatingly.
“My Predecessor said the same thing to me once during my preparation for Sōtaichō.”
He exclaimed, possibly indicating that he agreed with Kazai for the moment until suddenly, he spoke once more.
“However, it was my humble nature and impartial persona that granted me my position. Kazai, I assume your initiative of a Commander commonly coheres with everyone else’s. A strong, uncompromising, adamant individual whose presence demands command on sight. However I sadly cannot be that person. I only find it appropriate to exert such a nature when it’s called for. My term as Sōtaichō won’t be influenced by fear; but respect.”
He spoke, with his typical charming smile showcased on his flawless face.

Repsect? It made sense to her. She felt that she did respect him, but wouldn't it be better to gain respect if he seized respect like so many of the Soutaichou before him? She felt as though she'd still have respect for him even if he did that. She could understand how in his professionalism, a Soutaichou would need to be firm and not quite as friendly as Isao was.
"Well, that's certainly very idealistic of you." Kazai said. She looked into his eyes, having little else more to say about it and the situation.
