NAME; Fujikaze, Shuuichi Fujikaze, Shinichi Fujikaze, Seiichi
NAME MEANING; Fujikaze meaning "unparalleled wind" and Shuuichi "the best". In all, with a name like that he believes himself to be someone whom no one can hold a candle to.
ALIAS NAMES; Ookami no Aka [The Bloody Wolf]
AGE; Mid-Teens
REAL AGE; 214
GENDER; Male
RACE; Shinigami
RANK; 10th Division Captain
POWER CLASS; A-Class Shinigami
HOW DO YOU LOOK?;
- Body Frame: Even though he's hundreds of years old, he still has the body of a child and people are quite judgmental of that fact so he usually tends to give them some backlash on that issue. But being only five foot five doesn't really save him any trouble on the issue either.
- Small Ears: Shuuichi has rather small ears, almost outlandishly small even. Therefore, he hides his ears in his hair, making sure that they blend into his blue locks of hair.
- Eyes: His eyes are an amber color, yet have distinct features that relates to his release of spiritual energy. While releasing high amounts of spiritual energy, it is noticed that his right eye becomes similar to that of a wolf's, have a small slit for a pupil.
- Teeth: Also, similar to his eye, the same could be said about his teeth. His canines become extremely pointed and sharp, mirroring the teeth of a wolf.
- Hair: His hair is a fairly dark blue color, usually reaching just to his shoulders. This means that his hair is fairly long for a male's though that's the way he likes it to be.
Small, meek and very nonthreatening, Shuuichi doesn't really appear all that dangerous but it is quite obvious that he could very well be seen as appearing strange. His clothing style for one, makes him look like an escaped convict or a mental patient. Well, that's simply because of the large, black straight jacket like shirt he wears. It has rather long sleeves that extend out further than his arms can possible stretch out to, meaning that the sleeves droop over his arms. In addition to that, it has various straps all around it, all of the straps having small metal hooks at the end of them. In all, there are eleven straps like that on this particular article of clothing. That shirt or rather, that jacket has a hood which also comes with a face mask of the same fabric which is attached to it. The mask covers up his entire face, save for his eyes since it comes with small eyeholes. However, this is only when he isn't in the Soul Society. Whenever in the Soul Society, he tends to wear more traditional shirt, a large white shirt with an even large one worn on top of that.
But even with this odd piece of clothing, he really doesn't appear much different from anyone else, at least physically besides the fact that he has the physical age of a fourteen year old. He keeps his hair somewhat long, allowing it to extend down to the napes of his neck. And along with his hair comes rather soft, delicate features which makes him appear somewhat cute. Or rather, outlandishly cute. He isn't all that tall either, being around the average height for a kid his age and despite being adept at physical combat he isn't at all buff. Most of his strength comes from his movements rather from his actual muscles, that way his body can focus clearly on being fast and agile and nothing more. That is even more apparent when observing his slender body, perfectly proportioned and limber.
So for pants, he'll wear a pair of loose fitting black pants which matches his perfectly. And to finish up the outfit is a pair of black tabi. This odd choice of clothing is in accordance to his style and personality, which means he likes it to a degree. There is one thing that is to be noted about his overall appearance, his eyes. After being subjected to various experiments, some of which includes gene splicing, his eyes remain golden in color like a wolf's. And an adverse effect to his right eye had left it in an even odder state, his pupil appearing as a black slit as though he were some kind of canine beast.
As for that white eyepatch he always wears, it is fundamentally the trigger for his personality shifts. When the right eye is covered, Shuuichi is in control of his body. When the left is covered, that means Shinichi is on the prowl. In other words, shifting the position of the eyepatch is the mental trigger for switching between personalities just as he was conditioned to do so.
HOW DO YOU FEEL?;
PERSONALITY;
- Needy: Even when he's surrounded by others, he always seems as though he feels alone. The thing that is interesting about this is the fact that he usually switches off between admitting being lonely or not.
- Unstable: Simply because of his frame of mind and really just his overall mental situation, it is quite obvious that dealing with him is like walking on eggshells. His emotions and thoughts sway like the branches of a tree during a breeze, changing simply on a whim without any indication of reason.
- Survivor: Considering that he's batshit crazy, he tends to draw upon a rather odd source of mental strength at times of extreme stress. Whether it be to prove himself or to simply get the job done, his willpower is overwhelming and should not easily be forgotten.
At first glance, he'd seem to be a precocious and well-mannered young guy, but under that exterior is where the heart of the problem lies. After years of personality adjustment and body alterations, this youth's mind has been altered to the point where he is along the line of either breaking down forever or simply being in a constant state of confusion. In order to save himself from either, his subconscious created a second personality to fulfill the things that the original could not do. In other words, the kind boy couldn't kill, couldn't be a shinigami, so his mind fabricated this second personality so that he could do this. Its actions, mannerisms and feelings were all different than Shuuichi's yet they were necessary for what he had to do as a shinigami.
Shuuichi is a rather lovable person, clinging to anyone whom he deems strong, which has its own definition when it comes to him. Being strong to Shuuichi means that someone is able to choose their own path in life and push forward as they overcome any obstacle in the way. Anyone who displays that kind of tenacity is someone worth loving and giving himself to, at least in a hypothetical sense. He seems to enjoy life, though he isn't really familiar with certain social customs since he doesn't get out much around other people. But even so, he genuinely enjoys the company of others and likes to discuss philosophy at times. And since he doesn't get out much, it's only natural he would know a lot about philosophy and little stories about this and that. So despite looking and acting flaky, he's actually quite knowledgeable. Through and through, he's a dreamer, though he can't seem to ground himself in order to move forward for what he wants in life.
On the other hand, Shinichi, his counterpart is the polar opposite of Shuuichi. There is nothing they share in common, down to the last detail. Shinichi is brash, rude, vulgar, bloodthirsty and headstrong until the very end. The only thing this guy enjoys more than fighting would be carving into his enemies' flesh as he fights. Proclaiming to be the best, he is a self-proclaimed monster, a man-eating wolf because he is so vicious. The purpose of fighting to him is to determine who is the strongest, completing missions for the Soul Society is only done because it allows him to continue to go out and find strong opponents for him to decimate. In other words, this is the extreme personality that was created in order to cope with the demands of the experimentation and to cope with what was needed to survive. One thing is to be quite important about these multiple personalities and that is the fact that they independently have different levels of actually controlling their spiritual energy. Meaning that each personality is either weaker or stronger than the other, but when it comes to that, it is obvious that Shuuichi is the strongest despite his hating of combat.
Unlike most people with multiple personalities disorder, they both that each other exist and seem to have two distinct entities about themselves. So they seem to know of each other and care about each other, after all Shinichi was created of the sole purpose to protect Shuuichi's mind from further breakdown. Unable to grasp what's truly his will and what is the will of that other personality, Shuuichi can be deemed clinically insane, as he doesn't even know which actions he can control and which one's he can't. But in addition to that, there a third and final personality lying within that little head of his, one who only identifies himself as "the true one."

ZANPAKUTO;
KIBA Unlike most swords belonging to shinigami which are katana, this one is actually a chokuto instead. Putting that in consideration, it is obvious that this type of blade is perfect for the type of combat Shuuichi usually finds himself in. Katana are slightly heavier, meaning that this blade could be swung at higher speeds since it was lighter which fits his style of combat perfectly. As for how it looks, it's nothing really special. The handle has small blue swirls along it, appearing as though they are little swirling wind currents being drawn upon it. The sheath has these same designs upon it, making it obvious of where it came from. As for the blade itself, there is nothing special about it really except for a small kanji on the non-cutting side of the blade that reads "Sky Fang."
- Zanpakutō Spirit: What's to say about the spirit of Shuuichi's Zanpakutō? For one, its spirit is someone less than honest and very intimidating to say the least, even more so than himself. To start, Kiba resembles a tall human man with hair as white as the clouds and a presence so overwhelming that it could easily cause the strongest of men to go into submission just by looking at him. Kiba is sort of a smartass, never giving any answers to any of his wielder's questions unless that it is absolutely crucial to their survival as a team. That is one thing about Kiba that should be known, he will not hesitate to work as a team. Other than his condescending attitude, he is almost impossible to read in a single glance, even by his wielder.
Now, this inner world is truly a sight to behold, simply because it is so complex and hard to understand, just like both Shuuichi and Kiba. This world is split in two, held together by towers that dot the landscape, almost as though they are staircases to either half. The actual landscape is somewhat calm and balanced, much different than what would normally be observed by Shuuichi's actions. However, one thing is obvious about this place and that would be the intense wind that is always surging. It's almost as though every couple minutes or so, a powerful gust of wind comes blowing by. Chaotic, yet at peace with itself, almost as though it was a control chaos. And that is exactly what Shuuichi is, controlled chaos, a perfect representation of the shinigami.
- Shikai Phrase: "Rip and tear through the chaos, Kiba!"
- Shikai Appearence: His shikai isn't very a intricate design, however it is quite obvious that it would have something to do with the wind or air itself simply from its design. The blade much longer than his zanpakutō normally is, around four and a half feet, though the blade is fifty percent wider than before. The guard of the sword looks like a simple swirl, akin to a swirling air current or something of that nature. This fluid design runs all the way down along the hilt and to the butt of the sword. The guard and hilt are dark blue in color while the blade itself is actually of a lighter blue, resembling something more of sky blue hue.
- Shikai Abilities:
Kamikaze | The Divine Wind | A rather simple and almost effortless ability that comes with Shuuichi's shikai. By focusing reiryoku at specific points around the body, he can perform pinpoint releases of the said reiryoku as wind that is able to push his body which allows him to redirect his movements, quickly dodge or even increase his speed in short bursts. Using this with shunpo is a rather potent combination, allow him to achieve extreme speeds.
Shippuken | Hurricane Blade | With this ability, Shuuichi is able to compress air around his zanpakutō and then will a simple slash he's either able to send it out as a simple linear shock wave or he's able to release it upon impact with a strike from his zanpakutō, enhancing the damage it can do from short range by dealing out brute force.
Aka Sora no Kiba | Bloody Sky Fang | By sucking in large volumes of air around his general area, he is able to then compress it almost instantaneously and then release it outward as destructive shock waves of wind. This is done by focusing these shock waves along the blade of his zanpakutō, then through furiously slashing his blade in many directions in a quick burst, he can send these destructive yet razor shock waves of wind across large distances in anywhere from a 20 to 360 degree arc.
Bankai
- Release Phrase: "Pierce and shred through reality, Kiba!"
- Bankai Appearence: Again, this zanpakuto takes on a rather simplistic form, a very large and very intimidating sword. It's size is much more significant than its shikai form, being almost five feet long and having a wide blade, this sword is obvious something to behold. The sword itself has an odd shaped, more akin to canine or a fang of an animal rather than a straight edged sword that has a more uniform shape. Instead of normal guard, there is a mass of white fur that serves that same purpose, putting it in the theme of the sword being something feral. The blade is white in color, so white that it almost looks like an ivory color, again similar to a real life fang. Even though it is apparent that it is large, it isn't necessarily heavy to its wielder so it can easily be swung at the normal speed of any other sword. Though, those on the receiving end of a slash from such a weapon would easily feel its full weight.
- Bankai Abilities:
Shikou Kamikaze | The Supreme Divine Wind | A rather simple and almost effortless ability that comes with Shuuichi's bankai. However, this upgraded version allows for higher bursts of reiryoku, which in turn allows for higher speeds and quicker reactions than before. Not only that, but by releasing a large volume of reiryoku at once, Shuuichi can create a highly pressurized bursts of air that can blow his enemies back, deflect projectiles, protect his body from taking a hit or even use it enhance his melee attacks.
Rasen Sora Kiba | Spiraling Sky Fang | A large amount of air is compressed and circulates around Kiba's blade, seemingly creating a vortex of wind around it. With a simple slash, this wind extends outward similar to a whip in the form of a tornado and lashes out at his target, attempting to rip and shred it to ribbons. He can extend this small tornado outward as far as he can physically see. By swinging his sword in calculated movements, he can manipulate its path, just like a true whip.
Soudai Kiba Kaisaku | Grand Fang Excavation | This technique creates a large scale vacuum effect, a super vacuum if you will. This vacuum is even strong enough to level buildings, ripping them off of their foundations on a large scale. After sucking in a large enough volume of air, he quickly compresses and then stabs his sword into the ground if he happens to be on the ground. This causes the pressurized air to rush back outward in every direction, causing everything within the area to be pushed back by an oppressive wind, cutting into everything as a means to pulverizing his enemies into shreds. However, if he happens to be in the air or decides to swing his sword rather than stab the ground, the pressurized air can be concentrated and released in a single sword stroke as a burst of wind that is capable of tearing, ripping and shredding whatever stands in its path.
WHAT ABOUT THE PAST?;
Puppy Days
Sometimes the most noble of warriors come from the most humble of beginnings and that's exactly how this guy's story begins. Born within the Rukongai, Shuuichi was born into a relatively normal life. However, his family wasn't very wealthy and as a matter of fact it was the complete opposite. With that being said, it was no wonder that they abandoned him as a young child, no longer able to feed him. It seemed as though the world had given up on him or at least the ones who were supposed to care for him. There was one thing that was apparent, he was survivor until the very end and he'd pull through any rough situation the best he knew how. Things were rough, living on the streets that is. He'd scrounge up any food he could, even resorting to stealing despite the fact he knew it was wrong. The fact that he had went through so much despite being the age of five was almost too much to even comprehend.
During the time he was growing up, there was an epidemic of homeless children disappearing from the streets of the lower Rukongai, the area where he resided or rather, the area where he drifted around. On fateful night, while sleeping on his mattress made from cardboard boxes, he was soundly kidnapped. By the time his eyes fluttered open, he happened to be laying on a cold, steel surgical table. No matter how much he struggled, no matter how much he tried to scream, he couldn't. They restrained his body and gagged his mouth shut, unable to move or even voice any of the thoughts on his mind. In other words, he was in hell. And so, the experiments began, deep in the heart of the Seireitei.
Apparently, the shinigami in the Research and Development Division were looking for children with high amounts of reiryoku, making them the perfect specimens for refining their abilities and turning them into the "perfect shinigami". Such a thing wasn't unheard of in hearsay, though it was hardly ethical. Then again, there weren't many things that were off limits to the ambitions of the shinigami, they were law. Not like it mattered, he couldn't fight it, at least he got fed...
Birth of the Bloody Fang
After experimenting on him for nearly five decades, they finally cast him aside, deciding that they were finished with him. However, during that time, he had changed quite a bit. It was as though something had actually snapped inside of him, no longer the person he was before. Although he was merely a child when it all began, he still had a sense of self, yet at that point in time it was like there was no clear cut way to define whether or not he was truly all there. It seemed that when the experimentation finally, ended, there was something different about himself.
The cruelty, the pain, the mental anguish that they were all put under. Even with the elite of the screening there, some just didn't cut it. There were those who even died during the tests. But once that preliminary testing was over, that's when the true fun began. And fun was being used an euphemism in this particular instance, if anyone happens to be questioning those choice of words. For three years, Shuuichi was forced to work hard to strengthen his body. Forced to endure physical pain and emotional anguish, all of which changed him. Once those three years were up, he was a completely new person. The things they did to him, the changes in his mind, he couldn't exactly go back. On one certain occasion when they were performing a personality reconditioning procedure on him, the boy simply snapped. He asked for help to escape for it all and to become strong and that is what indeed happened. The stress of it all had gradually been reshaping his mind and it was that trigger that lead to the formation of a second personality. This personality only identified itself as Shinichi and it harbored every last personality trait that made up a true killer. It was only a matter of time before they were able to create a trigger for the controlled switch between either personality, giving them complete access to Shuuichi's potential.
Being told he could easily be the future of how shinigami are chosen, he simply declared he didn't give a fuck and that all he wanted to do was become the strongest. Knowing that they had a success story unfolding, they allowed him to enroll into the Academy.
Academia
There really wasn't much going on at the Academy for him. There were the basics every shinigami had to know and despite how boring it was, he sat back and simply listened. Listening and learning wasn't his strong points, but he did whatever was required for him to become a shinigami. After all, if he didn't receive a zanpakuto to use in combat, then he'd be bored with life as a whole. In order to make things more interesting for himself, he'd usually start fights with many of the other aspiring shinigami, usually betting them for money or items or simply their pride. If there was one thing he enjoyed, it was making the pompous asses that grew up in Seireitei squirm with anger as they sat back and took their punishments.
So for Shuuichi, the Academy was one big game to him and hopefully when it was finally over he'd get his little prize. Probably horrible for him to think like that, but it made things much more fun for himself. Of course, like most people, he had his faults when it came to technique. His skill in Kidō was rudimentary at best, unable to perform the higher level skills with much proficiency. However, his skill with a sword was something of a marvel, mostly since he used his speed to his advantage. If there was one thing he can say he enjoyed most about his time in the Academy it would be carving a path in his opponents' bodies with a sword during training exercises.
Sit Boy! Not long after graduating from the Academy, he was placed within the 10th Division, the Vanguard Division to be more precise. It was a stroke of luck that he was able to join such a Division and even more so that he was able to become a seated officer by being appointed by the captain. Then again, it wasn't really all too much based on luck considering that he could already release his sword to shikai not long after first receiving it. Despite the job of the 10th Division, the old captain was a kind and gentle man, yet he was still the most brutal of enemies in combat. If anything, the young shinigami lucked up to that man, aspiring to be as strong as him and then from there, surpass him in every single way imaginable. Even though he was starting out, he still had a rather cushy job as being the fifth seated officer. Of course, he wanted more, he always wanted more. The only way to ever surpass that great man was to climb the ladder so that he could one day have that chance to face him in combat.
Through the decades, his growth was something to be amazed at. The fact that he possessed such spiritual energy was one thing, but how he was able to increase his ability to use it was something of an entirely different subject. He started out at the fifth seat, yet he worked his way up to fourth, then third, going all the way up until he reached the position of the first seated officer. How did such a thing happen? Of course, he challenged each one to combat in front of the rest of the division, defeating each one soundly and taking their positions. Eventually, the rest of the division either feared him or admired him or even a combination of the two.
His ambition, his very will was something not to be underestimated, not by a single person. However, this type of behavior was encouraged by his captain. The fact of the manner was that he placed a system where you challenge others for their seats in order to display your talent and if you won such a match, you'd take your opponent's seat. Why was such a thing like that being enforced? The fact of the matter was that this was the Vanguard Division, meaning you'd always need the strongest shinigami you had at the front lines and this ensured that was possible. It seemed as though Shuuichi was taking too much advantage of such a system, yet he still refrained from killing anyone which earned him respect. After all, there were no rules in such matches as these. But respect from his comrades was something he needed if he wanted to surpass his captain and take his rank.
I'm Top Dog, Bitch.
Eventually, being the first seated officer meant that the only people in his division stronger than himself were the Lieutenant and the Captain. The difference between just himself and the Lieutenant was obvious, he just couldn't compare to him. Even by using a combination of pure tenacity and brute strength, he knew he could not stack up to such a man, not in the condition he was in. Then again, his own abilities were not to be underestimated either, simply because he was a genius after all. Despite his combat style, no one overlooked the fact that he was indeed younger than most of them.
When he finally faced the Lieutenant, he claimed that he wanted to protect the Captain from the disgrace that Shuuichi was bringing to the division by gaming the system. But that clearly wasn't the case, he was just simply taking advantage of the opportunity to become a great shinigami. And so a long battle took place with the entire division watching over the outcome of such a duel. With the final blows delivered, Shuuichi stood over top his opponent, blooding running down his face as his foot rested on top of the Lieutenant's head. He had won and that meant he was the Lieutenant, who would have ever guessed he'd come so far? The again, he truly was a beast in battle, thriving on combat.
Of course, there was only one person left for him to fight within the Gotei 13, only one person he truly wanted to fight. To be honest, no one else mattered except for his own captain, that's all he wanted to defeat. Not even the hollows mattered, not like there was many of them in the first place since it was a rather quiet era of peace. The only combat he saw was mainly between his fellow shinigami when he went to go steal their seats. However, shinigami were much better training partners than the hollows who were quite predictable by anyone's standards.
When that final fight came between him and the captain, it was something of a spectacle. There were well beyond the 200 observers that there were supposed to be, nothing short of amazing. Then again, it wasn't everyday that some kid from the Rukongai takes the 10th Division by storm and becomes the leading candidate of obtaining that captain position. But he was much too overzealous, almost being soundly defeated within the first few moments of the battle. There were certain abilities that he did not expect from his captain, yet he knew all of Shuuichi's tricks from seeing them so many times before during those battles to steal officer seats. That meant he'd have to come up with some strategy on the fly, yet he hadn't a single one. The only thing he had was pure power and he wanted use that to crush his enemy, to break down the wall before him. It was first then where he used his bankai, yet he was still defeated by his captain, simply provoking him by telling him to try harder.
Decades more of training came and went until he was able to control his bankai more effectively, yet it wasn't completely refined at that point either. After all, it took hundreds of years to be able to control one's bankai fully, but he had what he needed by this point. It seemed like the second time was a charm, defeating his captain in combat in front of the two-hundred plus spectators once more. However, his captain was not going to accept mercy from Shuuichi, he'd only accept full out defeat. That meant he'd have to finish him off. As the unofficial captain, he'd have to make a choice, making sure he did not show weakness. And so his old captain died that day, making him the current captain of the 10th Division of the Gotei 13.
Soon after being inducted by the other 12 captains, a problem was arising without them even knowing. As the newly appointed captain of the 10th Division, the Vanguard Division, it was his job to be the first to go to battle. What did this mean for him? It meant that his Division got the living shit kicked out of it, killing off a multitude of his subordinates. However, this was only the beginning of this so-called war and he would not accept defeat. It was mere luck that the majority of his higher ranked seated officers and unseated veterans were not killed in battle. Either way, the 10th Division got a thrashing and its numbers were thinned out. As a way to make sure they are not undermanned, the 10th Division often pairs up with the 3rd and 11th Divisions on combat missions, meaning that all three squads work together constantly. Even though he isn't quite adept at being a captain as of yet, it seems that he might want to become a skilled leader quickly or risk dying in combat. Not like any of that mattered as long as he got to fight the strongest enemies out there. After all, he wants to be the strongest motherfucker around.
