Today was just one of those days. Shinyu was sitting around, bored beyond what he'd rather be. He was content with relaxation and all but, this was ridiculous. Not to mention the irritation on his mind. He wanted to teach Shuu a lesson in respect. All the same, here was was, veiled under his Curving Light, invisible and detectable to most. Only a few had the sensory abilities to be able to detect Shinyu in this state and quite honestly, it was a heavy emphasis on the word few. His training for the day for his squad was to find him. A training exercise they always didn't accomplish. They never failed the training though, Shinyu would intentionally leave a hint here or there as to his movements. This allowed them to at least train themselves to follow any hint to a target's location. More importantly, in this state, only the Captain Commander's or an emergency order Tracking Sparrows kido could find him so they couldn't 'cheat' during the training either. Even still, They were five hundred yards away, today's training was impressive if they got this close. Shinyu simply wondered what to do to further their training today. Or he could just end it and let them rest. He'd figure it out sooner or later.

Lately the Soul Society had been naturally peaceful, it was almost suspicious. Hollows had still not let up the violent assaults in the unlucky human world, a situation that would need to be severely dealt with as soon as the Captain Commander had felt the moment was right.
In the meantime, the closest thing to danger around here was a simple spar between friendly opponents. The hollows obviously did not feel up to the challenge of invading Soul Society itself, most likely due to the fact that they must of feared the mighty captains that defended the area. Still not knowing who brought all of these hollow together or why they had seemed smarter than usual lately, Hazama was bothered by this and wanted to know, he hated not knowing important things such as that. Without knowledge, power is harder to come by. Something Hazama believed.
Walking around the Seiretei; Hazama had his captain's haori on along with his sunglasses, getting tired of seeing the same old barracks over and over again, deciding to leave his squad to their own devices for a while just to see if they were actually capable of thinking for themselves. Unlikely. The 11th Division were hardly known for their brains, Hazama being the exception.
Not taking too much notice of what was around him, simply walking by, Hazama suddenly sensed an invisible presence close to where he was by a mix of his sense of smell and hearing. The fact that this person was invisible and the only thing he sensed in this quiet area, or at least trying to be seen through some advanced technique already raised suspicions in Hazama's arrogant mind. He stopped for a brief moment, looking around, using his enhanced senses it took him very little time to suspect the whereabouts of this being.
How unusual. A person hiding in their own safety. Or...spying... Hazama thought to himself, deciding to see what was actually going on here, not liking the idea of being spied on, not even sure if that was the case anyway.
His sense of smell allowed him to focus on the scent of this person, and it was not long before Hazama was looking seriously into the direction of the invisible figure sitting underneath a tree. Just sitting there. Unaware of who it might be or what their intentions were, Hazama slowly walked towards the person confidently, knowing they had not moved from their location via their scent.
"You know, such a trick can only fool so many before another....greater individual spots you out." Hazama arrogantly stated, before stopping several meters in front of the person, waiting to see how they would react. "Fancy technique there." Hazama complimented with a grin.

Shinyu sat where he was, While observing the area when he noticed a familiar face walking towards him. A well known Captain, Hazama. Much like Shinyu himself, Hazama was a fairly notable Captain. Shinyu and himself were familiar with that type of scenario. All the same, it seemed he was discovered and shortly enough, one of his squad noticed this and rummaged the group over.
"I found him, he's over here guys."
They said as Shinyu grumbled. Unintentionally, Hazama revealed his location and they were able to find him. It didn't count though. All the same, at least one of the Squad Members was perceptive enough to notice the circumstances and find him. He'd note that for later. For now, he'd have to deal with their 'glory.'
"Really, so you were on your way to finding me before you noticed Captain Hazama talking to me then? Sorry, still doesn't count."
Shinyu said as he dropped his Kidou, revealing himself and at the sound of hearing that they hadn't gotten credit for finding him, they grumbled and sighed in disappointment. Hazama was here but one thing peaked his interest. How was he discovered. He'd figure that out in his own unique way as he yawned.
"It's basic enough that it works. In a hundred or so years, I'll even have enough mastery to walk right into Las Noches undetected. I'm not at that level yet though. I suppose it's time to do something else. How about a spar between you and me Hazama?"
Shinyu said as he suddenly brought up that fact towards Hazama before challenging him out of the blue as he stood up and stretched. Shinyu made it a habit to duel a Captain at least once, so he could learn about their abilities and store them away for later. Not only that, but it was fun. All the same, Shinyu yawned towards Hazama.
"That is, unless you wish to be the first Captain of the 11th Division to decline an official challenge."
Shinyu added in just for an assurance in this challenge. Knowing what was known about Hazama though, Shinyu doubted that would be the case. Even still, he observed his squad's reaction. They were excited now.
"Oh, and feel free to invite your squad as well. No need for a one-sided audience now."
Shinyu finished with as he vanished and stopped about twenty yards away in an open field. This would be the area where Shinyu would put the challenge. Wide enough area he supposed.

Hazama was half-surprised when it turned out to be a captain. It certainly was not as interesting now, the thought of it actually being an enemy was an exciting thought seeming as the only thing exciting around here anymore was the sign of hollows to be defeated. And even then, that hardly happened. Why? Because something or someone had seemed to put them in order, as if someone of great power and intelligence was helping all of the filthy hollows. An interesting thought and possibly right, however right now there was no evidence to know for certain.
What surprised him more was when this captain's squad members had arrived and thought they "found" their captain. Hazama raised an eyebrow at this.
Are they seriously deeming a child's game of hide and seek as training to improve their abilities? Ridiculous. Sometimes even the best of us never cease to amaze me... Hazama mumbled in his head, disapproving of such a training method when they could of been physically training their skills.
Before he could say anything, the captain he believed to be called Shinyu had offered him a challenge. A challenge to spar with him. Hazama smirked, he had no reason to decline. He himself had no duties to do right now and his squad could wait, it would only mean he would make the training even harder for them.
Shortly after, Shinyu appeared to taunt Hazama, saying about how no captain as of late has turned down a challenge. Hazama knew what he was trying to do when he said it; He was trying to make Hazama accept so he did not look like a coward. It was a simple thing, attempting to make the other person do something you wanted them to by implying they were something, in this case; A coward.
As soon as Shinyu disappeared, so did Hazama at exactly the same time, appearing several meters in front of him, tightening his snake-skin gloves on his hands, an ever-present smirk on his face as he stared at Shinyu through his sunglasses with his fiendish eyes.
"No. It's fine, I don't want to waste time telling my members about this. If they miss it, their problem, not mine." Hazama told him, in a short second his captain' outfit on the side revealing his snake-skin combat suit before clicking his neck.
He clenched his gloved hands tightly, a toothy grin appearing on his face. "Come on," Hazama taunted, "Impress me." He finished, putting both hands behind his back.

As Shinyu observed his opponent in question, he wanted him to impress him. Meaning deliver the first attack. While Shinyu preferred defense, he wasn't one that was above going against his comfort zone either. Shinyu yawned then as he made it seem like he was getting ready, while making observations. One thing he noticed was there was no Zanpakutou. That meant one of two things. It was either not on him, which was unlikely. Or, it was already released. A constant release Zanpakutou interested Shinyu enough to not use his usual methods. He would still need to study his opponent.
"Fair enough."
Shinyu said as suddenly, a massive blast occurred around himself and Hazama. Not an offensive one but rather, a massive blast of red smoke. The entire area was quickly engulfed in it as Shinyu held up his left hand as a rod formed in it. A powerful Bakudo as suddenly, he threw the rod into the air at an angle, the angle above Hazama now as it broke into many tiny slivers, raining tiny spikes all down where Hazama was in a large radius. The amount of spikes was larger than the standard use of the Hundred Steps Fence. A Larger concentration so the entire area could be rained on. Being in the area would be risky enough. He would study the reaction of his opponent to this simple tactic.

Hazama watched carefully to see what his captain-level opponent would do. He would need to be careful, after all he was dealing with someone around his power level, and one slip up could mean it would be all over for this spar. Captain-level individuals never seemed to fool around in a fight, spar or not, therefore letting one's guard down would be a massive mistake unless that person wanted to get hit.
The first move that Shinyu started with was a surprise to Hazama, he did not fight many opponents who started the fight straight away with a kido spell, it was not the type of move most would use straight away. However, it happened and Hazama needed to think about how to get past it. As a matter of fact, Hazama did not even need to get past it, the toughness his shikai gave him was more than enough to tank mere kido blasts with brute force up to a certain level, and these were within that. Although taking intentional hits would not of looked very professional from someone like Hazama.
As the kido blasts came down, Hazama brought out one hand from behind his back and clenched his fist. Shortly after bringing his hand out, he began to deflect all the blasts that came to him and knocked them away from him, crashing into other blasts. How was he able to do this? Simple, his shikai ability granted him boosted attributes, including tough skin, tough enough to make him able to deflect zanpakuto's with his bare arms and legs, most other places being a weaker point, yet still durable anyway.
After the rain of kido was over, Hazama shook his hand, feeling an unpleasant tingle in his hand after that little showing of kido blast deflection.
"Skilled with kido, eh?" Hazama asked, slowly walking towards the opponent, slow steps making him closer and closer to Shinyu. And then in an instant, he was gone....And appearing behind Shinyu. Hazama had used shunpo to get behind Shinyu, and without a word he turned around attempting to elbow his opponent in the back of the head. Hakuda was Hazama's specialty, so much he was called the "King of Hakuda" by many Shinigami. So when he must always fight with hakuda due to his Shikai, one can only imagine how hard it must be to defend his close-quarter attacks.

First observation was noted. So, he was the blunt type of opponent. Physically powerful and durable. It meant that a different type of strategy was wiser, though not yet. As his opponent's attack came towards him from behind, his fist would instead, collide with a barrier. It surrounded him in the shape of a pyramid, blocking him. Since he couldn't immediately detect the attack's location, he decided for a universal defense instead and that paid off as he felt the force against his Kido. Good, more observations were noted and confirm. The force of his standard strike and his standard speed and durability. He now had enough information to actually prepare a plausible counter attack.
"Something like that."
Shinyu said as without notice, his spiritual pressure rose significantly, dispersing the smoke from around himself and clearing the area, revealing the attack hitting head on with the triangle shaped Tozansho barrier. The barrier shortly after that, began to crackle with energy. as within a couple moments, Shinyu's fingertip could be seen on the inner pyramid shell.
"Byakurai."
Shinyu announced as suddenly, the Burst of lightning channeled through the barrier and would rapidly go towards Hazama. It would chase him for a bit as he double cast the defense and offense together for his counter attack. This counter attack had a purpose however, to buy time as he unsheathed Kuroka.
"Feed, Kuroka."
Shinyu said as while the lightning would distract his opponent, Kuroka would form around his hands. In a moment, Shinyu's entire arm would be encased in a type of bladed battle gauntlet. Spiked fingertips, spiked palm, and an extendable blade attached above each lateral wrist. As this was shown, some commentary from his squad came. Many had seen and heard of their Captain's Shikai, none knew of what it did exactly however.

Hara was once again bored, To him it seemed like the War had come to a slow, But he knew that was not true in the slightest. He had notice some people from 8th Division wandering around, Probably once again looking for Shinyu, Of course they would not find him however, He watched as most of them jumped acrossed roof tops, Looking in back allys, Most likely it would be obvious where Shinyu was, But they where yet at the skill level enough to see it. Hara continued walking as he notoiced the Division 8 members where huddled down the way, seeming to be watching something, Hara went and pused his way through to get to the front, That is where he saw Hazama and Shinyu in mid Fight, Hara wanted some action to, But figured he would most likely challenge the winner. He watched on in anticipation to who he would challenge.

Hazama gave a slight scowl when his elbow was blocked by some sort of barrier, it must of been some powerful barrier in order to stop a strike from someone like Hazama. This guy's kido skill must of been impressive to conjure up a kido barrier to stop a blow that would blow right through a thick wall.
Seeing Shinyu mutter a word and point at could of been the barrier, Hazama just grunted out of amusement and disappeared for a split second before appearing a few meters behind Shinyu. Hazama was not the type to just take a blow that could of been avoided.
Watching as the electricity-like projectile missed and went ahead of Shinyu, Hazama just crossed his arms and waited for Shinyu to turn around, a cocky grin on his face, feral eyes glaring through sunglasses at the captain he faced, the sun beaming down on them from the bright, blue sky.
From where he was Hazama was able to see the outline of the Shikai Shinyu had activated, and a smirk crept up onto his face. They were gauntlets which meant Shinyu was possibly going to fight using Hakuda.
Attempting to use Hakuda? Against me? Fool, I'll put him in his place. Hazama laughed in his head
Waiting for him to turn around, Hazama patiently stood with his arms crossed, smirk present on his face.

As Shinyu observed his opponent simply stand and smirked after the attack, he would watch as well. Hand to hand fighting wasn't truthfully the correct style for this opponent offensively. Defensively though, Shinyu had a way to go about it. All the same, he wanted to have the first defense again. What a bother, couldn't be helped though. He decided now would be a time to really change the game as the barrier surrounded him. The barrier shortly enough, vanished it would seem as Shinyu looked towards Hazama. The Barrier was still there though, it was just combined now with Curving Light. Shinyu's foot touched the ground as shortly enough another lightning bolt struck out from his fingers. It didn't hit anywhere near Hazam but rather, hit in front of him. as it hit the ground, a burst of red smoke exploded from the area where it landed. Even if he jumped back, he'd be caught in the smoke.
"You know, this might get a bit interesting now. Souran."
Shinyu said as within the ground, a spike of Reiatsu had formed and kept itself moving around in Hazama's direction. It was Souran, one of Shinyu's techniques with Kuroka's Shikai. It was impossible to see, though could be faintly sensed if one focused. The intent of these attacks however, was to get Hazama to drop his guard long enough to get snared by it. More importantly, Shinyu was keeping up his defense so he could better assess his next move, while subtly keeping Hazama's focus elsewhere. To further this, Shinyu held up his left hand as if her were charging up a big attack.

Watching as the lightning bolt came from the finger of his opponent, Shinyu; Hazama saw by the direction that it was not going to hit him. In fact, judging by where it was going to land, it was hardly going to do much damage to him at all. As the blast landed, Hazama simply stood and watched red smoke surround him, an unsatisfied look on his face, enjoying to face opponents who relied on offense as it made for more intense and risky outcomes. It looks like he would not be getting that type of fight this time around, Shinyu seemed like the defensive type from what he gathered so far.
Although, Hazama was not a fool. He obviously knew a skilled user of kido and a captain-level individual would miss from such a distance. It must of been some sort of distraction. Hazama stood his ground, wondering what type of move Shinyu would try next, and if it was kido, Hazama would just get more and more tired of this spar. He had no real interest in fighting someone for the fun of it if they kept on using something that worked pretty well against him. His arrogant state of mind did not like that he did not do as well against kido users due to his hand-to-hand skills being the only thing mainly used. He was skilled with the kido he knew, although he disliked having to use it.
All of a sudden, his enhanced hearing picked up on a sound as he attempted to focus. Attempting to guess at what it might be, the only thing that came to mind which was able to move underground, he believed it was a spike of reiatsu. A smirk came on Hazama's face, a smirk that said: I know what you are trying to do.
"I wonder, Shinyu...What do you plan to do with that spike of reiatsu that is near me right now?" He asked with a tint of arrogance in his voice. "I don't feel like playing the waiting game right now. Maybe when this is over, you can continue your little game of hide and seek." Hazama mocked, suddenly disappearing from view.
Appearing to the side of Shinyu, then in front, then behind, then in front, then behind and then to the side; Hazama continued to move at incredible speeds even by captain standards, appearing all over the place, moving so fast it was as if there were multiple forms of himself. Suddenly out of nowhere a pure black dagger came flying at the face of Shinyu from the front.
While it was traveling towards him, Hazama was using his pheromones to make Shinyu angry, and if he was angry he would be reckless. As he was in Shikai only, Hazama could only make him feel moderately ticked off, so it should of been enough to lower his tactics and defensive skills.
As the blade was several inches away from Shinyu's face, Hazama silently appeared right behind Shinyu and delivered a leg sweep towards the back of his legs, the intention of knocking him over with a powerful attack.
The fight was really getting started now....Black smoke began to surround Hazama. It was faint yet visible, the jet black aura showing he was getting into the mood.

Shinyu listened to and observed Hazama as he moved around him while frustration grew on him. It was odd, Shinyu was getting ticked off for no reason at all. Well, no reason for Shinyu anyway. He wondered about that. As the combination of the kick and the dagger came towards him, they both hit the seemingly gone barrier together. The dagger bouncing off, the Barrier taking a more powerful hit. It wouldn't take hits much stronger than that without Shinyu having to waste Reiatsu. How troublesome his physical abilities were. There was a catch to them though and Shinyu had finally figured it out.
"Dance with the Stars. Kurokikkan Kiba."
Shinyu said as suddenly, a faint glow appeared from his hands. The spinning back kick hit the barrier and then, Shinyu let it go as it stopped. Stopping momentum became the key as Shinyu's left hand soon extended the blade on it, it seemed that way anyway. The reality was that the blade extension was the technique's added range to the blade. Rather than slashing forward or downward, the Souran spike rose from the ground right about where Hazama's chest was. Once he moved to dodge that or get hit, Shinyu would already be in the air, launching himself forward in an unrelenting and confusing series of spins and flips that constantly changed direction. During this, he'd repeatedly slash at Hazama while moving with him as he tried to dodge. The intent was simple, land as many hits as possible, no matter how small. Because even with Kurokikkan Kiba, the smallest nick would rip away a moderate amount of Reiatsu from Hazama to strengthen Kuroka. And the feeling of it being ripped would be very painful if any of them hit.

Hazama beared his teeth out of frustration after both his attacks were stopped by the damn barrier that protected Shinyu. He must of been good with kido, but he knew himself that the barrier would not be able to take so many hits from someone who had the offensive of Hazama, the captain of the 11th Division.
As his blade fell to the ground, he could still see that it was in good shape and on the floor, Shinyu hopefully forgetting about it. For now, Hazama would have to leave it, he was not exactly in the best position to focus on getting a dagger, more of a position to try and defend from whatever Shinyu had in mind.
It had been a while since Hazama had gotten into a fight with someone of captain-level power, recently all he ever did was train with his members in the 11th Division and on the occasion, deal with a hollow that was not much of a challenge at all. He had forgotten what it was like to face such a strong opponent, this would prove to be some good practice for him to get used to the power others had. Although, Hazama still had no doubt he was the strongest, it was all his arrogant mind could tell him. Was this true? Possibly; But there were other powerful captains who also had the same odds.
All of a sudden, a blade came from the ground and near his chest taking him by surprise; Hazama just about moved back to miss it by inches. Seeing the shadow of a figure above him, Hazama grinned coldly before grabbing the blade in front of him with his gloved-hands. Pulling the blade upwards with his monstrous strength, Shinyu would proceed to get launched down to the ground with dangerous speed due to the power he used in the pull.
Whilst he pulled the blade, he felt a very, very slight feeling in his hand. He never got this before whenever his hands crossed with a zanpakuto. Whatever this feeling was, his tough skin and gloves over the bare skin reduced the amount of damage.
Looking into the eyes of Shinyu as he was now being launched at the ground with speed, Hazama opened his hand and drove it towards the face of Shinyu. Hazama knew this would be near-impossible to dodge, falling at speed and not being able to maneuver in the air would prove a very difficult challenge to dodge a Hakuda attack from a Hakuda master.

He grabbed the attack, interesting. As he was thrown to the ground, he then saw the attack coming for his face. Interesting attack. Shinyu could bear through it well enough. As the hand hit his face, Shinyu grinned.
"Got ya. Souran."
Shinyu said as his head hit the ground with the rest of his body. Any other part of his body slammed like that would break apart. Ribs would fracture and the like. The skull, was designed to take this kind of hit though. Not to mention the Reiatsu glow Shinyu had to reduce the damage he took. He still took a good hit but, extending from his face where Hazama struck, was the spike from before. Now though, it was extending from his face. As Shinyu jumped back, the counter attack he planned worked. Get Hazama too focused on offense to worry about defense and now, the area he struck put a Reiatsu spike that latched into his hand. Pulling at it wouldn't work, since it freely extended with wherever it went. It could be pulled out if strong enough, though that would risk losing even more Reiatsu to it. A Zanpakutou could break it in the same fashion if potent enough. More importantly, it would pull and siphon a steady, large amount of Hazama's Reiatsu into Kuroka. Not only that but in this scenario, two things would happen. Shinyu while it was attached, would always know Hazama's location and movements and two, he now only had one hand at his disposal unless he rid himself of it. Morely though, the draining amount would effect his stamina if left alone. He learned something interesting from the connection though.
"I'm just full of surprises, eh? Seems we are both like that. Who would have thought your Shikai would manifest into your skin, hm?"
Shinyu said as he simply stood there. The game plan would surely be changed for both of those in the match. Shinyu's tricky defense may or may not now make Hazama rethink his tactics. IT amused him all the same.

Hazama grinned as he successfully grabbed the face of Shinyu, with no mercy he drove him and the rest of his body into the ground, holding back most of his power so he did not injure him. That would of looked bad for him seeming as this was a spar. Even still, the slam made a large crater in the ground, Shinyu's skull taking most of the force.
A toothy grin graced Hazama's face, but then it quickly turned to a frown as he felt something rather painful in the palm of his hand, shortly after Shinyu had recovered and jumped back, a blue spike of what was most likely reiatsu bonding them from his palm to Shinyu.
How could he of taken such a blow and stand? Surely he must be injured or at least in pain right now. Hmph. And this blue energy on my hand, I don't like the feel of it, as if it was slowly, very slowly draining me. Tch, annoying. Hazama thought as he looked at the captain through his sunglasses.
Giving the reiatsu spike a hard chop with his free hand, Hazama did not hold back as much with this and broke it in a single chop, flexing his hand after wards, still looking at Shinyu.
"So your Shikai steals reiatsu with physical attacks? Such a shame my Shikai is so well suited against it." Hazama stated confidently, taking slow steps towards Shinyu.
Using shunpo, Hazama appeared behind Shinyu, his right leg rocketing towards Shinyu's head in the form of a powerful roundhouse kick.
